Love the tangerine citrus Alaffia african black soap! I have been using this wonderful brand for years after searching for a healthier soap alternative. The shea butter gives you the softest skin and is the best for a smooth shave.

Great soap. A bit too thin for my use as a body wash but still nice to use. Love the subtle smell and the clean rinse. Also love that it isn’t full of synthetic garbage and stuff that poisons the water supply.I’m a man and frankly I’m tired of smelling like vague musk scents that are named ridiculous things like “clean comfort” (What is that even supposed to mean?!?!) while also smearing myself with a mixture of absolutely dizzying levels of chemicals AND supporting giant multinational conglomerates like Unilever.This soap is basically the opposite of all of that. It smells like what is says, it’s made of mostly essential oils and traditional soap ingredients, it’s produced by an independent organization, and it isn’t needlessly targeted towards “rugged” individuals.I may try the body wash next to see if it’s a little thicker as that’s my only complaint. Tried it as a shampoo and it seems to do fine without excessive drying. I still prefer a nice argon oil shampoo but I may switch to this if I can’t find a new argon oil without dimethicone.Overall I’d recommend this if you’re just looking for soap that’s soap and nothing else and you also like the idea of supporting someone who isn’t doing everything they can to destroy the planet for record profits.

I’m a white male, and I’ve been using this for years and love it! I use it for my hair, face, and sometimes my body. It really helps with oily hair and skin. Since puberty, this has always been a problem for me. I’m also prone to bumps on my head and this helps out or at least doesn’t make it worse like more chemical based shampoos.I like that is natural with no parabens, no sulfates, etc.. I also like that the company puts profits back into African communities through schools & school supplies, bicycles, eyewear, maternal care, and reforestation.The smell is good. The vanilla almond smells like cake. The tangerine citrus smells like oranges but not overpowering.I will say this does makes your hair and skin feel a little rubbery but I think it does this because it is so effective against the oils. It may be off-putting for some though. My hair and skin aren’t nearly as oily at the end of the day.I think once the bottle leaked some during shipping but it wasn’t much and I have ordered multiple bottles. I’m positive the company and/or Amazon would be more than willing to make things right.

Need to shave? Need shampoo? I have been using this product since I was a teenager. It last for a good 6 months if you use if for everything. Your skin and hair will thank you. Every single ingredient is natural and good for your body. I can tell a difference when use drugstore body wash. It’s works well for hair and gives a ton of volume. The only thing I dislike is the cap is flimsy and breaks enough.

I bought this because my face wash started giving me eczema on my lips. Legit eczema – my lips looked like they were rotting, they were half numb all the time, and it hurt something awful.Once I figured out the cause, I dropped my old routine and bought this soap. Everything cleared right up. My lips are back to normal, my acne is pretty much only tied to hormones, and nothing hurts. I’d recommend this to anybody.
