I had to buy the unscented and it is unscented…It lathers well and rinses easily ( some soap free body washes don’t wash off easily). It is gentle on my eczema sensitive skin, yet keeps my oily skin in balance of PH levels..

The unscented one is a life, I mean – skin! saver for me! My skin doesn’t do good with the water where we live. I don’t know what chemicals they put in it, but it is way too harsh for my skin. Plus, I am sick of all body washes full of god knows what kind of unnecessary, even toxic, crap. I wanted something cleaner, gentle, and safer for me, and the environment, too. I already love many other Alaffia products, and I admire them for what they do and stand for. So, it was a no brainer to give this stuff a try. And, I am very happy I did. Love it! It is so good to my skin without being harsh one bit. It cleans well, and it is so gentle. My skin is also dry, and this doesn’t dry it out even more. It leathers nicely, especially if used with a mesh. But I prefer to just use it with my hands most of the time as I sooo like the feel of it gliding against my skin! Feels soooo good! Granted, I use more this way, but I don’t even care. It is so worth it. Also, It was the only thing I could use last time I had one of my skin rashes, without making them worse. So, yes! I can’t live without this. I’ve been using this for years, and if they don’t change it for worse, I will continue using it. It is such a great body wash, and you can’t beat the price!

I’ve been using this shower gel for 5-7 years and don’t want to use any other product. It’s all natural, gentle, with no unhealthy ingredients but cleans very well. Glad I can now get it on Amazon since I can no longer find it in local stores or even some other online stores. It must be very popular.

For many years I had painful cracking of skin on the fingers of my left hand. 2 skin doctors had no remedy. They checked for fungi but found none. Said it was not uncommon when people also had athletes foot problems. I was using neutrogena and other soaps. While travelling in San Diego, I used Alaffia body wash supplied by the home we stayed at. In a week my skin cracks were gone. I bought more when I got home and have used it for 2 years since. The only time my skin cracks now is when I use sanitizer with alcohol in it.I also use their shampoo. My only complaint is that the pump dispensers sometimes don’t unlock. I just swap out the old onesI . The alaffia I have used had a different bottle design but the ingredients seem to be the same. The new bottle is cheaper think. Will study that in the future: cost and ingredients. The other stuff about the company is nice, but it’s how my skin stays uncracked is why I buy it and will not use anything else.

I’m very sensitive to chemical scents, so it’s great to find a product that I can use that doesn’t give me a headache!

So, I was skeptical that this wouldn’t clean or moisturize since shea is less of a ‘moisturizer’ and more of a ‘sealer’ OF moisturizer (water), but it has done pretty well. I actually use it on my body and hair (3C) and I haven’t had to use anything else???? I just wash with this and the shea seals in the water, and my hair doesn’t get as dry as it usually does with (any) shampoo and conditioner (I feel like I’ve tried everything…) I haven’t had to use any products or anything, and I can keep my hair natural for a few days. Makes it all very low maintenance. For the skin, it seals in water, but also for me it has allowed chest and back acne to show up, though that could be a me problem. I’ll keep using, most likely!

I’ve been using this product for almost a month now and I absolutely adore it. I took along time to research soaps that are sulfate free as they make my skin itch like CRAZY and I finally settled on this one because of the positive reviews. I’m so glad I did. This soap doesn’t have a lot of lather, but it’s very smooth and gentle. I love it. I’ve noticed that I have to use a lot less lotion since switching to this soap, and that my skin feels a lot softer than it has with previous brands. I also love that this company is ethical. Though unscented, it does have a very faint nutty smell like others have mentioned but I don’t notice it the majority of the time. Some reviewers have had issues with the pump but so far, I haven’t had any problems! If you’re looking for a great moisturizing soap that is sulfate free, I would highly recommend this one!

Great product. I have been using it for years. I know this has no toxic ingredients. It is kind to my skin. I feel clean and fresh after using it. My husband does not think it lathers up. I use a mesh bath puff and it lathers up really well! He wont use a bath puff.I even fill up a travel bottel with it when we go on trips!
