I thought I was ordering the body wash which I’ve used for a couple of years. To my surprise this huge container arrived with body lotion. Gah. But I do like the lotion. It absorbs quicker than any other lotion I’ve tried. The scent fades pretty quickly as it dries. One thing I noticed with extra hand washing is it doesn’t feel like I’m washing off all of the product an hour after using the lotion. That’s a pretty big accomplishment for a hand lotion. I’ve used it several times on my arms and legs and I feel it works very well. I have sensitive skin and so far no issues.

The best lotion in the world. I’m not making this up. I have the worlds most sensitive skin. I have been using this product for 10 years since I was 20. The huge bottle accommodates anyone who uses lotion often. Especially with the pandemic I’m constantly needing to wash my hands. Even my boyfriend uses it! I love the lavender. It’s not so strong that you feel like you’re wearing perfume. It’s a super pleasant light smell. Don’t hesitate to try this lotion! Most super nourishing lotions like “Cerave” (sorry to name, names) have additives and secret ingredients that can be harmful long term. If you use a product on your skin…is it food for your skin…or is it something that would make you sick if it went in your mouth. This product is soon FOOD at its best. Thanks Alaffia!Rant over 😂,Emily30/SF/CA

In the kitchen? Frequent hand wash can dry skin. Feel relieved effect by adding lotion after wash and dry frequently. Moisturizer for shower and bath. Sensitive skin care for children, plus normal to dry for adults also. She butter unrefined skin care for winter blues. Covid era essential. The scent is not loud; layered scent partial to body care regimen. Example face wash, lotion or spray. Two of the same scent today. Several scent types available for delivery! Enjoy

As other reviewers have experienced, I’ve also found this product to have longer-lasting moisturizing capabilities for dry skin than any other moisturizer with less or no Shea butter content, many of which cost way more. It’s a great value, but I’d recommend it even if it cost twice as much. I love that it’s fair trade. As someone who’s very sensitive to scents and can be sickened by synthetic perfumes, I appreciate the light, natural scent of the lavender, though even to my nose, the lavender scent is so light that I smell the ingredients over the lavender. I prefer that to an overwhelming scent. Great product I feel good about supporting.

This size bottle lasts about 3 months for myself and my wife, who have darker skin and use it every day. Comes out to a few dollars a month based on the price. They stopped selling this at Whole Foods where we first found it (not sure what I paid for it), but I was happy to find it here! It smells good, goes on light, dries quickly, and doesn’t leave a sticky, oily texture afterwards like some body lotions do. It might go on a bit thinner than some people would like for a lotion, but that’s my preference especially in hotter months.

I got this bottle of lotion for my mom. She said she was getting bitten by mosquitoes and I heard lavender and lemongrass was effective at deterring them. She said she enjoyed the scent and it worked at the beginning. The lavender scent is noticable for the first few hours, but it goes away. She mentioned the lemongrass scent, does revive when she showered.Overall, I think it’s an affordable product and the lotion is pretty good. It’s not as moisturizing or thick as creams, but I like it for everyday use.

This lotion is amazing. I first purchased it at Whole Foods and was blown away by the cost for such a large bottle. Not to mention it has minimal ingredients that are ethically sourced, and the company uses $$ from its sales to support and uplift communities in Africa. It’s truly an amazing company and product! it’s super moisturizing but not greasy at all. and the lavender scent is light and beautiful!
