How it started
For years, multi-cultural people with hard to manage hair traveled from store to store, trying to blend products in a hopeless attempt to tame their locks. Wendi LEVY (left) and Kim ETHEREDGE (right), two “mixed chicks”, created a product line because they needed it. Then, something happened…friends and family started encouraging them to package it, and soon they had a full blown business running out of the garage. After a little door to door hustling and a few celebrity endorsements, MIXED CHICKS is bringing their products to the world.

My daughter has a lot of hair, I mean like a lot! And it’s extremely thick 4c hair down to her waist. I have been looking for an effective but gentle cleaning shampoo and have struggled to find one to get the product and added oil buildup out. This is a very good cleansing shampoo. It stripped all the buildup out of my daughters hair. I will continue to use this every 6 weeks or so as not disturb the natural healthy oils in her hair too much. Good product, works well.

The negative reviews about stripping the hair and drying it out are probably left by people who don’t have low porosity hair and don’t get lots of build up. Figure out your hair type and buy what’s appropriate for it. I’m growing my hair out and I noticed significant growth since using it, it’s definitely growing faster now.

This shampoo works perfectly for my hair. My hair likes to hold fibers from clothes, pillows and pretty much everything else. This shampoo breaks up all the build up without drying out my hair.

II tried this product for the first time because my hair was so dull and flat. I use hairspray and root lifter. After one use, along with a cheaper conditioner, I am really happy with the results. Soft, shiny and full hair. Worth the price .

I really like this shampoo I have been looking for the right shampoo for my Daughter’s and little sister’s hair type for a while now and I think I found it, it leaves her hair nice and soft no frizz or dryness her curls really do look and feels healthy. She has had many comments and compliments. now the best part Very little on your palm goes a long way on your hair. This is almost a concentrated texture shampoo, it rinses out all impurities in her hair. it’s hard to rate this product on its own because I’ve never used it alone in my daughter’s hair. I’ve always used the Mixed Chicks Deep Conditioner with it. I would recommend always using the Deep.
