How it started
For years, multi-cultural people with hard to manage hair traveled from store to store, trying to blend products in a hopeless attempt to tame their locks. Wendi Levy (left) and Kim Etheredge (right), two “mixed chicks”, created a product line because they needed it. Then, something happened…friends and family started encouraging them to package it, and soon they had a full blown business running out of the garage. This product is the wholly grail of hair serums! I have super fine blond chemically coloured, dry hair. I am sure I have tried almost every product out there claiming amazing outcomes. I have found a few that are ok, but I also have an allergy to sulphates which makes my scalp super itchy. Not with his product. It makes my hair so happy, heathy and hydrated looking and I am sure my thin hair even looks thicker. Hair Silk has transformed my hair that it has to be trimmed less often. My hair has grown an inch since I bought my first bottle (about 2 months ago). For me that is huge because my hair ends have always been so badly dry and damaged. It has a very light citrus smell. I use it when my hair is dry or almost dry. I put a little on everyday, washing my hair every 3 to 4 days (don’t judge me). I urge anyone to give Mixed Chicks Hair Silk a shot, because if this product ever gets discontinued I will be truly devastated.

I loved the product! During the past 4 months I starts trying the mixed chicks products, and now I am using the entire mixed chicks line, from shampoo to leave-in. I can say for sure that the mixed chicks line are perfect for my 3b/3c curls. I have straight, processed hair and this product tames frizz and makes my hair look healthy without looking oily. My daughter has thick, wavy hair and the product smooths out her waves nicely. How shiny my hair was and how incredibly soft to the touch! It smells wonderful! I do t recommend using it daily if you wash your hair once a week because there is build up and light flaking. Other than that I highly recommend this and all “mixed chicks” products 🙂 so glad I discovered them!
