How it started
For years, multi-cultural people with hard to manage hair traveled from store to store, trying to blend products in a hopeless attempt to tame their locks. Wendi LEVY (left) and Kim ETHEREDGE (right), two “mixed chicks”, created a product line because they needed it. Then, something happened…friends and family started encouraging them to package it, and soon they had a full blown business running out of the garage. After a little door to door hustling and a few celebrity endorsements, MIXED CHICKS is bringing their products to the world.

I found this product by accident. I was looking for yet another solution to detangle my granddaughter’s curly semi-bi-racial hair. We’ve tried it all. Normally, we spray it down with water and a subpar something and hope for the best. But when I saw the small spray bottle, I thought I’d try this too. We sprayed with water then detangler, and within seconds I could begin to loosen her tight curls with my fingers. It was literally that fast. I ran back to the store to stock up, but haven’t seen it since. Therefore, I ordered the jumbo sized version. We appreciate the difference in the way it detangles and moisturizes her curls. And my granddaughter appreciates the now painless daily hair routine. I highly recommend!

Amazing product. My daughter used to cry when we combed her hair, even with well-known detangle sprays. Tangle tamer has changed that. Her hair is easy to comb and she loves the smell. Unlike other detangle sprays it does not weigh down her curls. We use the whole mixed chicks kids line for her.
